Rare and wonderful, ca1910’s Flow Blue Transferware, Historical Staffordshire-type American Pottery Plate depicting Independence Hall at Philadelphia by Buffalo Pottery of Buffalo, New York. This beautiful American View Plate feature a central view of Independence Hall in Philadelphia with pedestrians dressed in Colonial era garb on the sidewalk in the foreground. This Plate also features a rim border with flowers and latticework.
The Plate measures approx.... 10 1/4" and was likely manufactured for the Larkin Soap Company and distributed by Larkin through their Premium Catalog.
This beautiful Flow Blue Transferware Plate is in excellent condition - the pottery ground is clean and white and the transfer decoration is bold and bright without wear or loss. There are no chips, cracks, repairs or physical damage of any kind. Overall, this is an exceptionally well preserved example of this Buffalo Pottery Flow Blue Transferware Plate and a fantastic addition to any collection!!!
