This listing is for an exceptionally lovely, vintage art glass bowl from Murano.
Because of the quality of this piece, I believe it was made by a master craftsman at the factory, although it is unsigned.
This is not only an unusual bowl, it is large, measuring approximately 9 inches across.
The violet/purplish ruffled edge is gorgeous. The photos can’t capture all of the beauty. The decorating has a bit of a millifiori look to it.
The bowl is... in excellent condition with light wear on the very bottom. There is also a small chip or manufacturing imperfection on the bottom of the bowl. I took a photo of it for this listing. I keep going back and forth on whether it is a small chip or just an imperfection in manufacturing. It’s very hard to tell. Otherwise there is no damage or signs of wear on the bowl. It is very thick glass and heavy – just what you would expect.
