For your consideration is a stunning Liberty & Co Cymric silver and enamel button. This rare example by Liberty & Co features a stylised peacock, with typical Art Nouveau motifs, set amidst an enamel background of turquoise blue, emerald green with flashes of violet. Liberty & Co were synonymous with quality and design with designers such as Archibald Kn...ox producing examples that truly embody the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements. The reverse of the button is stamped 'CYMRIC' along with marks for Liberty & Co and partially rubbed date letter 'd' for 1903. The button is presented in very good antique condition with minor signs of use present commensurate with age. There are minor surface marks/light scratching present to the silver along with a later hand inscribed identifying number (see reverse). The enamel is intact apart from a shallow surface loss at one of the terminals.
