Vintage folding loupe by famous Carl Zeiss Jena,
reference-quality achromat lens 3x6x9x magnification. Optics: Made in Germany by famous Carl Zeiss Jena factory from 1950s to 1990s. Glass lenses are of 21mm diameter with 3x, 6x or 9x magnification power if combined. Very durable hard plastic (bakelite type) housing with a hole for hanging on a neck chain. Lenses can be unscrewed for cleaning if needed. Reference-quality achromat optics without distortion (all lines will ...be straight) and chromatic aberrations (no extrinsic colours), as a result you have a bright, clear and sharp image, please see photos with examples. It has a black framing around the lens, because black eliminates reflections that can alter the color of the object you are viewing. This loupe has a very high resolution and large field of view if compared to similar loupes.
Dimensions: Unfolded length is 78mm (3 1/8").
Condition: Very good. Lenses are clear without any scratches, housing has some usual minor age-related wear.
