DESCRIPTION: An antique German pewter beer stein / tankard with hinged lid and flared foot. Interior with rosette, base with 3 touchmarks.
MARKS: 3 oval touchmarks in a circle with an angel. There is a buck in the background, angel holding a scale in one hand, the letters and the image are very worn. It looks like B__tt_nberg (not certain) on the top and fein zinn on the bottom flanking the angel.
APPROX. MEASUREMENTS: roughly 10" high to top of finial..., base about 5 7/8" diameter.
WEIGHT: 2 lbs. 10.6 oz.
CONDITION: Antique, wobbly base as the pewter appears to pushed out a bit from the application of the interior rosette. Dings, surface scratches, lip with bends and the hinge may be a bit bent. Last picture showing wear to the handle from the lid lever. There are some pin holes in the bottom too.
