A beautiful paperweight bud vase. Designed by Flavio Poli and produced by Seguso Murano in Italy. Featuring a ball design with flat facets on 5 sides to give it an optical illusion effect. The vase has an applied mouth, and was made with the Sommerso glass technique; the heavy clear glass encases a cyan layer, then a green, with the innermost layer being a darker blue. It measures 4.5" tall X 4" on the curve, 3.5" flat side to flat side. It weighs around 2 lbs, 10oz. Not positive... of the year of production, I've seen examples listed as being from the 1960s up to 1980s- so within that time frame is likely. In excellent vintage condition.
