Vintage Tin Frog Wind-Up ToyYou'll love this green and yellow wind-up hopping frog in your collection, or you'll enjoy giving him to a frog-loving friend. He's very old and shows his age somewhatThe frog has a pleasant expression and a black/green pattern on his back with yellow dots in two lines as shown in photos. He is completely yellow underneath, with some imprinted words that are partially covered by white paper labels. I could pick out the word German. I'm sure... that a collector could safely remove those white paper labels and find out more about the tin frog.I'm not sure how accurate the information on the labels is, but one says "1920's German" and the other "8-3-94 65.00/53.00". If that is right, the frog is nearly 100 years old!When key is wound, frog jumps slowly forward, although I'm not sure he really makes any progress. You can hear him softly working. I wound just a little and got 3 "jumps" out of it.Frog is almost 4" long and over 2" tall. He has some scraped places that are darkened, as well as something slightly rust-like on the unpainted insides of his legs, nothing unusual for a toy of this age I am also listing other collectibles that were part of my parents' collections.
