"Master" - 6th plate daguerreotype of a bearded young man (L829)
Early image with early plain scalloped mat! This fellow looks just has to be a school master. He certainly looks the part. Really nicely preserved dag with just a couple of small spots of deterioration. Well posed and well lit. Thick glass and plain protector frame showing some verdigris. In a half-leather somewhat scruffy case.
