Revell Beatles Test Shot - ???? John Lennon. These have appeared sporadically since the 1990's and are test shots of the original Revell Beatles models from 1964. They are from the same molds and even have the 1964 REM copyright stamped on the base. Test shots are done by model companies in limited runs to test the viability of the molds. The Beatles test shots I've seen have been gray, peach and light blue, while the original models were molded in ivory white plastic. Other than that,... they are identical with no loss of detail. John Lennon and George Harrison are by far the hardest to collect in this series.
The model is assembled and missing two pieces: The base and the guitar strap. The price reflects these flaws and is a fraction of what the originals are going for.
