Originally issuedby tire representatives to garages who stocked their farm tractor tires as anadvertising piece.
Anice collector's item, in good condition and great for display!
Around the edge of the rubber it says:
SAMSON
The glass insert is illustratedwith the company logo of the Biblical figure of SAMSON holding a tire.
The Israel "SAMSON" Tire Company wasestablished in the 1950's by the American "General Tire and RubberCo.". From its foundation, the company was engaged in the manufacturingand marketing of pneumatic tires, mostly for the local market. Themanufacturing covered all the Israeli needs for tires from a simple car tire toairplane tires.
In 1971, The Israeli "Alliance" TireCompany acquired "Samson" becoming the sole tire manufacturer inIsrael.
Size:
The glass insert is approximately 8.6 cm (3½") in diameter and the tire is about 15 cm (6") in diameterand about 3 cm (1¼") thick.
Condition:
This item is in good condition showing minor age and light wear. The rubber is intact withno cracks. The glass ashtray has light wear to the illustration logo.
This will make a fine addition to any Tire collection.
