Here is a unique pair of hallmarked Hester Bateman sterling silver tongs. The tong handles have intricate engraved designs and dots. The top has a fancy monogram. The tongs have a beautiful patina and have not been polished. They measure 5 1/2” and weigh 31 grams or 1.1 ounces. The handle undersides are hallmarked “HB” in fancy script. The other side is marked with a right-facing head and left-facing lion. Excellent!
