Here is rare andhard to find 5-5/8” long sterling silver spoon from Denver Colorado dating backto years around 1900 featuring a heavy handle (weights 21.7 grams) handcraftedas a mining windlass with two handles on top actually moving, below appliedcrossed shovel and peak. Windlass rope is made of silver wire all wrapped andending with a bucket close to the bowl, a nugget on the opposite side is toosmall so very likely balance of it was broken off. In the bowl embossed isdetailed imag...e building, the writing is THE U.S. MINT BUILDING, DENVER, COLORADO. Spoon is 5-5/8 inch long (144 mm) and in used and vintage condition andas pictured and noted above. On the back marked STERLING. Shipping on multiplepurchases are gladly combined.
