The designer of the robot, Doug Jones, had a vision of changing the world with his design of this wonderful robot. This is Topo I, later replaced by Topos II and then III. My late husband owned it. The robot sat in our garage for many years--I never asked any questions about it. It was only after he passed away that I began to become interested in the robot, how it operated, and what it meant for the world of robotics achievements. The robot is in unknown condition, although the ...exterior is in very good condition other than a few scuff marks. The robot was provided to my husband in his capacity as an engineer, and states "provided to experimenters as salvage--no warranty available." As such it does not have a serial number. Robot itself is very heavy (about 35 lbs.), so I assume the old battery is still in it. Will make available for pickup but can't ship in the event the old battery is still installed.
