Original Description:
This charming miniature painted glass stein is an "Original BMF Schnapskrugerl" by Rein Zinn BMF.  It measures 4" high (including the lid hinge) and 2-1/2" wide (including the handle).  It is made of clear glass with a hinged metal lid.  Depicted on the stein are two birds in an arrangement of white, orange, blue, yellow, and red flowers, with a heart at the bottom.  The branches of flowers spread out around the sides of the stein.  The lid is flat with a circl...e of etched flowers on the top.  The glass bottom is concave with a scalloped border.  It's really quite pretty and colorful.  As shown in the pictures, the glass bottom and the underside of the lid bear the manufacturer's marks and indicate it was made in West Germany, thus prior to 1990. The stein is in very good condition.  The glass shows no breaks, chips, or scratches.  The painting has vibrant colors with no portions scraped off.  The lid is a little dull but otherwise in great shape.  The hinge and lid work well.
This is a pretty, vintage, collectible stein in great condition!
