This statue is I am not an expert on african Art - I am unsure of the tribe and the age ...I have acquired a beautiful mixed collection that I will be listing ... I have researched to the best of my ability ... It is held to be dangerous for others to wear ceremonial masks, because it is believed that each mask has a soul, or life force, and that when a person's face comes in contact with the inside of the mask, the person is transformed into the entity the mask represents.
