This receiver will make a great restoration project. From what we can tell, it's all original without modification. It shows it's age, but hasn't been abused and is free of any dents, just some scuffs/scratches on the cabinet. We briefly powered it up and the tube filaments lit up, but no further testing has been done. It is being sold as-is for restoration.
This equipment is part of a very large silent-key estate we recently acquired, all of which has been in a storage unit for... approximately 15 years. We have not done any testing beyond what is specifically mentioned above. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service and it's simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them. It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on. Again, this unit is being sold 100% as-is. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or are willing to pay a qualified individual to do the work for you, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
