This is an original antique (late 19th century) 2 gallon stoneware crock with salt glaze on the exterior, Albany slip glaze on the interior, and underlined cobalt "2" on the front.
Condition is very good; it has a chip on the corner of one of the handles, one tight hairline on the back, and a small flake on the inside edge. It is otherwise free of damage and is solid, sturdy, and displays beautifully. It measures 9 1/2" in diameter x 9 1/4" H and will be packed securely and ful...ly insured during shipping.
