From an elderly friend's estate, this was in with all of his radio repair supplies. A telegraph key made by the J.H. Bunnell & Co. in New York. From what I gleaned from other sales, this piece is possibly from the early 1900's, but I'm no expert. It has the appearance of being nearly new, so I think it must have been a spare part that had been in storage for many years. It weighs about 10 ounces and is about 5.5 inches in total length including the key. The base is 2 inches wide an...d 3 5/8 inches long. Base appears to be made of bakelite and all the metal parts have the appearance of stainless steel. The key moves freely and you can hear the clicking like in the old westerns. Pretty cool piece for use or display. There are several photos showing a variety of angles so you can see exactly what you're bidding on.
