vintage sculpture. bought on a trip in the early 1990s and stored with similar statues. one of the others is marked Swaziland, this one is not, but they were all bought on the same trip. it is quite heavy, about 4.5 lbs. approx 8.5" tall and 3.5" wide at the ears and 5" deep from lips to back of head. I believe the material is soapstone but there are no markings on it. very detailed, real work of art.&n...bsp; the "hair" is carved and whitish gray in color, the "skin" color is FINISHED IN a marbled coppery tone with an olive or khaki base. great piece of art.
