This is a 4" Netsuke Style Oriental Japanese Clam Shell Diorama WATER MILL Scene celluloid . The inside has alovely carved Water Mill, with Water Wheel, Animals, Figures, Boat Bridge, and Ornamental Trees. The lid of the Clam Shell has two Dragons onit. There are also (2) two round feet on the base of the shell tohelp make it stand firm. You will f...ind this intricately carved Water Mill scene open in an Clam Shell resin/ celluloid Clam Shell collectible dates back to right around World War IIand is in excellent condition. It is sitting on a piece of black wood not attached.
