This is an interesting ethnographic relic imported from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria. It is an old, very weathered diviner's bag made from thick muslin fabric sewn with dozens of beads. It has a three-dimensional face of a spirit watching from the center of the bag and opens up to expose the area which would hold the divining implements/shells.
