Offered for auction and your consideration is an original WW2 period wool U.S. General Officer's overseas cap. It came with the other named khaki overseas/garrison cap we have in another listing. Although not named it can be attributed to belonging to Major General John B. Wogan who was the commanding general of the 13th Armored Division from it's ...beginning until he was critically wounded by German sniper fire during the allied offensive of the Ruhr Pocket but survived his wound. Cap shows some wear and and does have one pin back General Officer's star and evidence of where the 2nd star for rank of Major General was located just to the right of the present star. The leather sweatband has hardened and is brittle. Rare cap! WE WILL COMBINE SHIPPING ON MULTIPLE LOTS WON!
