Selling a super nice, “all original”, Coke picnic cooler. Thisparticular style of cooler was made during the 1940’s and 1950’s and are referred to as “airline” coolers becausethey were taken on board small passenger planes to serve cold Cokes to thepassengers during flight. It was designedto be very sleek and compact to fit within the confined space of the passengerairplanes of the time. Its dimensions are 17 inches side to side, 6 1/4inches front to back, and 12 ...inches tall. It holds 12 small bottles of Coke. AsI stated, it is all original – no repaint, no touch ups, no repairs. Has been thoroughlycleaned and hand waxed by me. Overall paint is in very good condition and isquite glossy. All of the hinges, latches, and carrying handle work fine and arenot rusted. This cooler has a chrome handle as opposed to many that had only a paintedhandle. Lid opens and closes easily and smoothly. It even has the original “STARX X” coke bottle opener mounted onone end of the cooler. The inside is stainless steel and has a few small dentson the underneath side of the top and on the inside bottom, but nothing majoror distracting, and no rust. Even though I feel it is in extremely good shape forits age, it does have some scuffs, nicks, light scratches, a few very minor shallowdings/dents, and some chipped paint especially around the top and bottom edges.Again, nothing I feel is major or distracting. I have provided several picturesto document its condition, however, if you want any additional pictures justlet me know. I think you would be very hard pressed to find another cooler ofthis type in any better “original”condition than this one. It is heavy but will be carefully and securely packed withplenty of bubble wrap and/or foam chips for shipping protection. Email me if you have questions or want additional pictures.
