This auction is for the "original" 283 pagetranscript of the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg, Germany, in 1945and 1946, most commonly know as the "Nuremberg Trials. Included is the signed, and notarized, affidavit to the authenticity of this document with the purchase of this transcript by Col. Charles W. Mays daughter, Ms. Betty Mays Foster.This transcript was read by Lord Justice Lawrence on Sept. 30, 1946.These items were once owned by Col. Charles W. Mays, Marsha...l of theInternational Military Tribunal. Col. C.W. Mays was Marshal of all courts andan official of the General Secretariat. He organized the trial. I have also added a War Department black and white photograph of Col. C.W. Mays at the Nuremberg Trials. Please readbelow:Colonel Charles W. Mays, Marshal of thetrials. His daughter, Ms. Betty Mays Rogers, age 85 of Dallas, TX, has ask meto sell these items that she has held onto for over 60 years. The followingitems will be sold, in SEPARATE auctions on eBay: The official, and original, 283page transcript of the International Military Trial, read by Lord JusticeLawrence on September 30, 1946 [featured in this auction], two 1-5/8” round Lion faced door decorations from thedoor of the courtroom at the Palace of Justice in Nuremberg, Germany, removed byCol. Charles W. Mays after the trial, an assortment of original “battle”maps used during WW2 by Col. Charles W. Mays while in Germany [including theheadquarters map of the 407th Field Artillery Group with Col. C. W.Hays printed on it], a cloth “escape” map given to Col. C.W. Mays in 1945 inthe case that he would need to escape, several original and reproduced fromoriginal black and white photographs including Col C.W. Mays with GeneralGeorge Patton, and a large collection of original and copied scrapbook items keptby Col. C.W. Mays. If you look at the last picture, you will see an example of all of the items that I will be selling, minus the Nazi flag and scrapbook at this time. Colonel Charles W. Mays daughter hasgiven me permission to give her personal contact number to the buyers of theseitems after the auction has completed.
