Original Description:
A very old yet very useful piece of glass blowing history.  This home made item holds a glass electrode when fusing it to a completed Neon Sign.  Nice design which looks very well constructed and is still in good working condition. One end has an alligator clamp so it can be attached to a vertical stand to make the operation easier -- It's just like having a third hand!
Retired glassblower, after over 44 years of work, needs to liquidate most glass supplies and tools. This... is a rare find, obtained about 40 years ago from another glassblower who was retiring.  Thus this item probably dates back to the early 1900's.
