I do not combine shipping for the Egyptian statues or boxes. Shipping cost included priority shipping + insurance + expensive packing material to protect during shipping.
Statues could have dirt on them from several years of shelf lounging. I wipe them down but I won't heavy clean for fear of the the gold leaf or paint coming of...f.
About This Specific Item:
Statue of the god Sobek; 12" tall Hand made of a granulated white marble resin, covered in 23 karat gold leaf and acrylic paint.
This item is damaged with possible repairs, which can effect the structural integrity of the statue. Shipping cost cover shipping + insurance + expensive packing material to protect from further damage during shipping.
Statue has original Red felt bottom and authentic AGI sticker on the bottom.
To my understanding AGI halted production in the early 2000's, they are ritually accepted and museum quality.
This item's catalog number in the collection is #00019
Items History:
I recently inherited some collectors items from my Grandpa. He is a geologist, egyptologist, and quite the collector or Egyptian collectables. He owned a tour guide company in Egypt where he lived for over 15 years.
Several of his items are from the Artisan Guild International. Some are damaged while others may be repaired, but I'm not sure how to tell. It could be just the way they look.
There are AGI and Toscano Designs branded Egyptian Items with others. Most of the collectable statuesetc...are Egyptian themed and a few exceptions. There are Egyptian perfume bottles (all handblown and painted in Egypt with 18k gold accents), hand painted papyrus (also from Egypt and are all still in their plastic pouches with authentication) and statues, and a set of AGI painted / embossed wall fragments from temples, which are professionally framed. Items will slowly be listed in the next coming weeks. I regularly list .99 cent auctions offering loose gemstones for sale, and those listings will be my first priority over these items. So please be patient with me. Thank You!
