One set of three handmade green glazed mugs from the village of Santa Maria Atzompa in Oaxaca, Mexico. Although many workshops in the village now make other styles of pottery, barro verde, or green clay, is the most traditional, distinctive pottery style hailing from Atzompa.
Depending on who you ask in Oaxaca, these mugs may be ideal for use with hot chocolate, a regional specialty. They could also be used to serve coffee, tea, or other beverage of your choice.

We obtained these pieces from a workshop in Atzompa in April. We then transported them along with a few other pieces to Oregon by car. Purchasing Oaxacan pottery outside Mexico is normally prohibitively expensive due to international shipping cost; this is a rare opportunity to collect new Oaxacan pottery shipped from the US.
