Planters Square Peanut Glass Store Counter Jar. This jar was manufactured in 1934. It is about 7 1/2" tall. "Planters" is embossed across the top of all four sides of the jar. The jar is in very good shape. There are six very small chips on the inside rim of the jar and very minor amount of roughness. There are straw marks and air bubbles in accordance with glass manufacturing of the time. The bottom of the jar has "Made in USA" embossed in it. The jar is 78 years old. &nb...sp; The lid has the wonderful peanut finial on the top. There are no chips on the outside edge of the lid. There are chips on the inside bottom rim of the lid. This is the part of the lid that goes inside the jar There are approximately 15 chips. I have tried to show these in the photos. Planters only made clear glass jars. Any colored jars are reproductions. They may now be antiques, but they are not original Planters items. They are cute. I have some that I collected, but I will not list any as "original".
