Corgi Toys Austin Healey 3000 1/43 White Made In Gt Britain

This is an original vintage Corgi Toys Austin Healey 3000. It is around 1/43 scale - I'm guessing. It is in used/good condition. It was made in Gt. Britain. There are a few signs of wear. There is some paint loss on a couple edges. The windshield or windscreen is missing.
Now I'm not sure how a British toy company making a version of a British vehicle came up with the 109" wheel base markings. What do the British know about inches? Could they only... talk a Yank into climbing under the truck & he only knew how to work one side of the tape measurer? I don't get it. Maybe 276.86 cm took too much tooling. Only joking folks, kinda.
