A note of thanks to old and new buyers/ friends who have made made it possible for me to share some of the finest antique textiles available on eBay. An early masterpiece in silk ribbonwork, and lace~ this silk boudoir hanky or stocking fold has the most unique large silk, metallic ribbonwork flowers~ one at the center of front and the other at the back above the silk satin ribbon tie. Over the satin on the front is a beautiful sheer Brussels princess Lace ~ a breathtaking piece in amazing condition! The detail and coloring in my photos is quite accurate and the case is 12-1/4" across and 7-1/2" deep folded over~ 15" when opened. It displays beautifully and is from the early 1900's, has been well cared forth a patina commensurate with age. It has obviously never exposed to smoke or odors and no flaws were noted. The colors are lovely and it is very well priced.
