Offered is a nice Alaskan Yup'ik Indian Coiled Sea Grass Plaque Basket featuring repeating crosses. This is a nice size for a beginning collector. It measures just 7" across. The front is in very good condition with the design still vivid. There is a bit of wear on hanging tab and you can see the gaps in weaving (as made) on the back. Please see pictures. This came from a large lot of Alaskan Native American items we purchased from a Alaskan estate sale. It would make great wall art to hang several different styles of plaque basketry.
