In carving and collecting circles Harry Ross (1933-2014) is a highly sought after and accomplished Artist. In his distinguished career are many accolades and articles wining First Prize for the the best international decoy in 1949.
Collected by serious collectors and celebrities such as Clark Gable, Roy Rogers and Ernest Hemingway.
I believe this to be a Dowitcher or Shore-Bird but I'm sure you folks will correct me if I'm wrong.
In excellent vintage condition I wou...ld imagine from the 1970's. NO damage issues or repairs; some dust as it has been displayed proudly. Great detail in the wood form and painting and Harry wasn't a powertool fellow or friend. Old School and self taught.
This has the South Paris Maine Studio foil sticker and is Signed by the Man himself.
The driftwood base is approx. 11 inches. The carving is Approx. 6.5X8.5 tall (includes the elevation of the base)
