Vintage Flying Saucer Atomic Aluminum Disk
for a Starburst Glass Shade
Vintage Flying Saucer Atomic Aluminum Disk for a Starburst Glass Shade. The glass starburst shade hung from a 3 ball chain fixture and this portion sat on the glass shades lip. These things are extremely hard to find. Most of time they were bent and destroyed as the times past. Very unique addition to any Mid-Century Modern designed room or home. The gold paint is well wo...rn. I would recommend repainting to match your style or simply restore to former glory. Plastic stars seen can be removed with screwdriver. Some screws may show signs of surface rust.
Note: I have included two pictures showing how the disk fit together with a starburst glass shade, but the glass shade shown is not included. Disk shown in these two pictures are from a different set I once owned and are shown only for demonstration of function.
