Nice WWI Prussian Imperial German M1898/05 Butcher Blade Bayonet. Blade is maker stamped ERFURT. Dated 1914 with Crown Stamps. Has high ears and is without the muzzle flash guard on the grip. Bayonet is in overall great condition condition. Shows typical wear from age and a nice overall patina. No cracks in the grips. Blade is on good condition as well with no major sharpening or grinding. Does show drag marks from the scabbard as evidenced in the photos. The leather Scabbard is s...ame great condition. Scabbard is not dry, no breaks, splits or rot. Scabbard is also stamped on the throat and tip with proof stamping.
Overall, a nice early Pre WWI manufactured Bayonet that will fit nicely in your Imperial German collection or display.
