Listed here is a pair of East German Germany NVA DDR GDR STASI Field Officer Shoulder Boards Rank are old new stock but were never issued or used and date from mid 1970s on. It is very rare to encounter shoulder boards for Stasi field officers (Major, Lieutenant Colonel, and Colonel) and they will become harder to find in the future as collectors grab them up. The Stasi were the East German equivalent of the Soviet Union's KGB and were the most effective secret service agen...cy in the eastern block or Warsaw Pact and one of the most effective and repressive secret police agencies of all time. These shoulder board set would be a great addition for militaria, espionage, Cold War, Warsaw Pact, historical reenactors, or Ostalgie collections. These shoulder boards were found in my travels in the north Texas region and is now being brought to the wide world with this eBay listing.
