This auction is for a 1968 "Memory Picture" of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. distributed by Christian Charities, Inc. several weeks following his assassination. Included is a copy of a letter that was sent out to churches "asking you to please distribute [pictures] in your church and community...it might help bring peace where there are riots and destruction". We There were a total packet of 25 of these pictures sent to churches for distribution [for a nominal cost]....
