There is a very interesting story behind this helmet. This was found in the rafters of an old building that was being demolished, at one time it housed an Army and Navy store. The store dated back to the 1930's, it lasted into the late 1980's. The building was just recently demolished, this helmet has been sitting in the attic for the last 60 -70 years. It took a lot of scrubbing to remove almost 70 years of dirt. This is in good condition, some light surface rust which could be remove...d with a little cleaner..It is marked on the inside of the brim..08T07....The soup bowl style was originally designed to protect the wearers head and shoulders from fragmentation falling from above. Brodie patented this style helmet in 1915. It has remained in very good condition except the liner. We ship world wide and combine shipping cost..
