Here's Hamilton's late-model #A case, first seen in about 1940 but this one toward the... wide-up in the very late 1940s, with the smooth circled brushmarks back framed by the large bullet or beaded pattern, the Deco style concentric circles, the thick neck, wide and wind-able original crown, distinct arching model bow and all the classic railroad-ready features!! This highly collectible and fine case is in fully serviceable condition. I have restored and detailed this case right down to the threads and the crystal so you get the best looking and working case possible! The back and bezel thread up easily, screw on and off smoothly, and both seat tight. The correct original crown's fluting is still sharp and defined for a tight, sure grip, and it turns freely but, by design, does not extract, so only a lever-set (e.g., Hamilton railroad-grade) movement will work inside. The bow is also correct and original, shows zero brass or damage, and holds tight in all positions. The crystal is a thick beveled mineral glass model and super clear with no distrations. This fine case fits all standard-featured lever-set-ONLY movements. The case does show exceptionally minimal wear for a railroad case, including just light, fine and micro-fine scratching, zero marrings, zero doodlings, zero brass anywhere on the scene, and absolutely, positively no sign of any dents, dings, dimples or depressions!!
