The sender (Mr Will Ward) writes on the back:"My brother Jack, The first of my own work in China. The picture ???? a ?????? crowd of hawkers (Chinese) outside our camp at Chang Chi. The bell and surrounding masonry is an open air temple, where an unseen business is found. Position on the map about 200 miles north of Tientsin (if a map could be found). Should l...ike to know what you think of ?????? on next p.c."
