Here’s a very nice eye catching old tin litho working crank friction powered speedboat, “Speed Queen J.T.Y. U-37”, with driver and in the original box. Yonezawa manufactured the early boat; the logo is on the boat stern and lower right corner of box. The boat is about 10 ½” in length. The tin graphics are really nice and detailed with enhanced raised areas including exhaust pipes, crank friction box with head light, rear lights and c...ockpit area with steering wheel, driver wearing goggles and helmet. The colors of red, shades of blue, yellow, brown and white are bright and bold. The boat is in very nice vintage used condition. There is edge wear and scratches with missing paint, more so on the bottom. There are a couple of touchups on the back rear corners under edging. There is light oxidation on the bare metal crank and rudder. The friction works as it should. The 11” box has nice graphics in bright colors. It is in vintage used condition. The top has creases, crushed area, soiling, brown water spots, edge wear, insect damage, splits and bumped corners, all with missing areas of paper. Two inside corners of the box top have been reinforced from the inside with slips of brown heavy paper to prevent further damage. This is a nice looking vintage Japanese friction working boat with original box. Fourteen day returns with buyer paying shipping. I will combine purchases as practicable.
