A delightful little antique majolica vase, beautifully potted; pod shape with lug handles. Incised stylised floral design on a brown ground. Believed to be Austrian in origin and probably made by Gerbing & Stephan, c1900 although very much in the manner of the Swiss pottery Thoune.
Very well preserved throughout with no damage or restoration. No crazing.
Backstamp to b...ase, partly obscured.
Approx. 5.5" (14cm) tall.
