I've been collecting for over 55 years and it is now high time to start moving my entire collection on. Most of the items I have listed were either vet acquired, vet estate acquired, collector purchased or purchased through estate sales and auctions. Many of these items and groups have only had two owners - the vet and I. While eBay limits listings to twelve photos, I can provide more if need be. Please feel free to ask any relevant questions. I only ...accept payment through PayPal unless prior arrangements are agreed to before you bid. I ship domestically using US Priority Mail. It is fast and has excellent package tracking. I utilize eBay's Global Shipping Program for international shipping. Most uniforms items are fairly heavy to ship and the shipping costs reflect that. I combine shipping on multiple items. I will not end auctions early in fairness to all bidders. Please look at the photos carefully as they show more than I could possibly write.Offered here is a WW2 6th Marine Division uniform group. The group belonged to PFC James J. Watts who served in 16th AA Bn., 6th Marine Division, V Amphibious Corps. USMC muster rolls show that PFC Watts participated in combat operations during the Okinawa campaign. The group consists of the following:1) Jacket: The jacket is a standard four pocket Marine Corps coat made of green wool. There are no holes or damages to the jacket that I can find. PFC chevrons are machine sewn on both sleeves and an embroidered 6th Marine Division patch machine sewn on the upper left sleeve. "JJ WATTS" is stamped several times on the inside of the left sleeve. "JJ WATTS" was printed on the inside of the right sleeve. The jacket is stamped "College Hall Fashions, Contract No. 42473, Dated Dec 1, 1943." The jacket is stamped as a size 4M. There is a nice detailed matching set of salty screw back bronze EGA's on the lapels. The ribbon bar is pin back.2) Trousers: The trousers are a standard pair of green wool Marine Corps EM trousers. The trousers have two slant pockets, watch pocket and button fly. They are marked as a size 3M and also there is a stamped "#6" inside. The trousers are lined in white cotton which has discolored slightly from age. The trousers have been worn but show no soiling. There is one very small pin point sized hole on the left pant leg next to the side seam.4) Shirt: The shirt is a standard Marine Corps EM 2 pocket made of mustard wool with the distinctive pointed USMC pocket flaps. The shirt is in good condition The tag inside the shirt reads: "I. Unterberg & Co., Inc., Cont. No. 40869, Dated June 23, 1943, Size 2." 5) Garrison Cap: The garrison cap is a standard USMC EM made of green wool. The cap has a screw back bronze EGA on it. The cap has a fabric sweat band that is slightly soiled from use. "Red" is written inside on the sweat band. There is a small pin point hole on the upper left top. There is no size.I'm not sure what more I can write that the photos do not show. All in all, a very nice complete 6th Marine Division Okinawa combat vet uniform group.I am also listing several other USMC and USAAF uniform groups, flight gear, insignias and other items as I get around to it.
