Original Description:
ORIGINAL WORLD WAR TWO U.S. NAVY HAMILTON MODEL 22 CHRONOMETER DECK WATCH.  This watch is in beautiful, almost pristine condition and must have been protected in it's original wooden case since the war years.  The watch has not been serviced but is in working & running condition.  The reverse is marked "CHRONOMETER WATCH MFR'S PART NO. 37615 SERIAL NO. AF/45-D-758 P.O. NO. (33-038) 45-13085-AF HAMILTON WATCH COMPANY". The movement is also marked Hamilton Watch Compan...y Model 22 - 21 Jewels U.S. Navy BU. Ships 1942.  The serial number is 2F23857.  The wooden case has the instruction plate on the top lid and is also marked by the Hamilton Watch Co.  The mechanisim to open & close the case is in working order.  The case is in overall very good condition showing some scuffs & scratches, more so where you would open & close the case.  The window on the top lid of the case is intact & the inner green felt is in excellent condition.  Overall a great example for either your WWII U.S. Navy, nautical or vintage watch collection!
