This is a nice vintage all-original working 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 2-Door Hardtop Highway Patrol Siren Car in the original box. Aoshin, a/k/a ASC, (Japan) manufactured the early toy. The 9 ¾” black and white tin litho car is identified as P. Dept. No. 8 and bears front and rear license plates 9511. A key feature of the car is a trunk mounted “crank up whee whee siren blow.” The car has nice lithographed details including detailed ...dash, blue and white plaid seat covers, red, blue, yellow and white Police identification on side doors and roof, and red and blue roof lights. The police car has Eva rubber tires, tin hubcaps, bumpers and trim. The friction motor and crank siren both work just fine. The car is in nice vintage used condition with minor scuffs, abrasions and scratches with missing paint. The metal trim is tarnished. The 10” box is very nicely illustrated in bright colors. It is in very nice vintage used condition. The ASC trade mark is on the lower right corner. This is a nice all-original Japanese-made working toy in the original box.
