You are bidding on a STUNNING and VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Daimler-Benz DB605 Engine Piston, as used on the Me109, Me110, Me210, and others! The Daimler-Benz DB 605 was a German aircraft engine built during World War II. It was a liquid-cooled inverted V12, and powered the Messerschmitt Bf 109, among others. The DB 605 was basically an improved DB 601. Made of cast aluminum and steel, this is an AMAZING piece of history, and all features are SUPERB!&n...bsp; Some very SLIGHT scratches and pitting due to the age, but VERY SOLID otherwise! Pulled from a damaged engine, all markings and stamps are intact, and it retains some of the original grease! The original rod is attached (though it is bent), as are all the piston rings! Makes for a SUPERB centerpiece! With an overall weight of approx. 15lbs., it would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection or display!
