These original, "FAT COMMANDER", binoculars were manufactured by, "CARL ZEISS", only for U-boat commanders. Super solid piece. Marked with 8 x 60, blc and the serial number 2111052. 9, 1/8" X 8, 1/2" X 3". Thick housing made of seawater-resistant cast aluminum. The view through the lenses are very slightly hazy. Image through lens posted here. 8x magnification, 60 mm lens diameter. About 95%+ original green paint with some wear around the high points. I have not opened the drying cartr...idge doors. With what appears to be original strap. Weighs 5 pounds, 11 ounces. There is one washer missing to left top eyepiece hinge.
