This flag was captured and inspected by division intelligence then traded to a sailor from the U.S.S. Neville (APA-9). In 1950 this flag was taken to a reunion and signed by ...the attendees. It’s very rare to find a flag with the unit specific capture stamp, Id’ed to Saipan, with a traceable history. Would look great in a frame on the wall!
