OriginalWWII Army paratrooper jump jacket with 82nd Airborne Division patch, Corporal chevrons, heavy cotton stenciled name tag, and cloth invasion flag.Used condition with period replaced zipper marked EMAR, knife pocket sewnclosed (?), and cloth belt still attached in back. An example of the early heavy cotton stenciled name tag found on this jacket can be seem in the book (Heroes in Our Midst/Volume 1/PG 334).There are some letters (RWN with three faded numbers which are hard to rea...d) stamped in the neck area. I don't know what they represent but don't think it is a laundry mark. I have not had time to do any research. The lowerright pocket has a washed out Quartermaster tag. Measurements:-Across Chest (underarm to underarm) = 19 inches-Across Back (shoulder to shoulder) = 18 1/2 inches-Shoulder to end of sleeve = 23 inches Thisjacket has definitely seen some action but not abused. The metal snaps showsome minor corrosion and rust but should clean-up. Two minor stains on rightrear shoulder that are very minor. There is one period repair on the left sleeve below the corporal chevrons.Iship to International buyers but insure all shipments to the fullest valueallowed by the Postal Service.
