Up for bid is a very nice collection of WW2 135th USNCB SeaBees who built the island of Tinian into a B29 bomber base used to defeat Japan during WW2. You get everything pictured. There is a nice original SEABEE photo scrap book put together by navy vet Gilbert G. Ladendecker, who was there. Gilbert is in a number of the photos as well. Some of the photos in his scrap book were in the Rare Cruise/Tour Book : "The 135th Review USNCB" which a copy of is included.&...nbsp; The scrap book has app 160 photos in it and app 17 postcards. The pages of the photo book are that black construction paper that gets brittle with time. A few of the photos are discolored or faded. Also included are 2 other real 8.5x11 photos of the crew of LST 235 with some autographs . There is an official US Govt 8x10 of the USS Neches. there is also a 3 fold album with 3 5x7 photos of the USS Tappahannock. This is a super interesting and important collection of US Navy Seabee memorabilia by one of their own who was there and contributed to the 135th Review book as well.
