Scarce Piece of WWII GERMAN BARBED WIRE, Part of GERMAN Defenses on the Normandy Beaches (Recovered on Omaha Beach, Normandy, France in the 1960's), Nice Relic of June 6, 1944 D-Day Fighting !!DESCRIPTION: Scans show it all.....a very unusual relic of the Normandy D-Day fighting, recovered from Omaha Beach in the 1960's. This is a part of the original German defenses that greeted our invasion troops on June 6, 1944. . In very good, dug (excavated) condition. A little rusty f...rom the seawater, with some sand encrustation.Dug on private property with owner's permission. A rare piece to find, and a great contemporary LANDING-RELATED ITEM to add to your Normandy collection!! Approximately 13" long x 1 1/4" diameter.
